County Durham Oktoberfest provides a platform for Engineering & Manufacturing companies to promote their talent and capabilities locally, regionally and nationally. Organised by employers for employers! County Durham Oktoberfest facilitates making new contacts, initiating new commercial prospects and provides an opportunity to meet buyers from large organisations who are looking to improve and strengthen their supply chain network. Engineering Clusters County Durham are hosting 'The Premier Engineering & Manufacturers' Exhibition in the North East' supported by other partners through the North East Engineering & Manufacturing Alliance - NEEMA.

This year's event is being hosted close to the site of Amazon Park currently being developed by Merchant Place Developments which will be the new home of Hitachi Rail where the next generation of high speed trains for the European market will be assembled and manfauctured. The event will showcase the wealth of engineering and manufacturing excellence across the region and will feature 90+ exhibitors including Hitachi Rail and Merchant Place Developments aswell as some of the biggest premier manufacturing company names providing a fantastic opportunity to inter-trade, win new business, find new suppliers in your locality and showcase your expertise and capabilities to an interested and relevant audience.
Recruitment of buying organisations for the acclaimed "Meet the Buyers" part of the event, is currently well under way and, will include major companies in the Defence, Automotive,Yellow Goods, Consumer Electronics, Lighting and Power Industries. The aim is to provide opportunities to book one-to-one appointments with buyers from 20+companies.
