The Department for Business Innovation and Skills is running 2 seminars on Export Control in Newcastle on 19th and 20th October.
The ½ day Beginners seminar on 19th October aims to provide an ‘introduction’ to the UK’s strategic export controls, why we have them, what types of activities are controlled. Cost £90.
The full day Intermediate level seminar on 20th October aims to deliver a broad understanding of the export controls, subjects will include: the legislation, controlled activities, introduction to the strategic control lists, different types of licence and compliance & enforcement. Cost £125.
Key benefits
Upon completion attendees beginner should have a basic understanding of the UK’s Strategic Export Controls. Intermediates should understand how the controls apply to their exporting and trade activities, and have a better working knowledge of if/where their items are controlled on the lists and which type of licence can be used
Prerequisite
The beginners seminar is aimed at people who are new to strategic export controls; Intermediates should have a basic understanding of export controls in order to benefit the most from this seminar. Please see attached bulletin for other training events.
