PARTNERING EVENT FOR THE DEFENCE AND SECURITY SECTOR IN TURKEY

UKTI DSO will run an Industry Partnering Event in Ankara on 11 and 12 February 2010. The event will bring together representatives of the UK and Turkish defence industries with the aim of exploring opportunities for joint activity and partnership.
Speakers will include Richard Paniguian, Head of UKTI DSO, Murad Bayar, Undersecretary of SSM and senior representatives from both UK and Turkish industry. Please see the outline programme below.
The event will provide a briefing on the UK’s and Turkey’s defence sectors and national procurement issues. There will be opportunities to network with Turkish defence companies, with pre-arranged one-to-one appointments as required. The event is a must for any UK defence company seeking to break into the Turkish market, establish joint ventures, find a partner or build new supplier relationships with Turkey.
On the evening of Thursday 11th February Jessica Hand, Director UKTI Turkey & HM Consul-General Istanbul, together with the Defence Attaché, Colonel Richard Robinson, will brief the delegates before a reception for UK and Turkish delegates and other defence contacts hosted by the British Ambassador, Mr David Reddaway. Our UKTI DSO Trade and Investment Manager to Ankara, Belgin Clissold, will also be present at Partnering Event.
