NEW IMAGE, NEW BEGINNING
Tuesday 8 September 2009

We are very proud to officially begin using our new corporate identity. As we launch our new image it is timely to also talk of the new direction and new focus of NDI.

The Ministry of Defence and all our Global Partners hold NDI in high esteem and have been encouraging NDI to operate on a more national level. Indeed, by default we have become more national recently - although a large number of our member companies are still based in the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber, 46 per cent of our members are now based outside of these two areas.
As a business development company, we are developing our relationships to increase export trade through collaborative networks. To do this we and our members need to be co-operating with other companies nationally in order to succeed internationally. Collaborative networks are groups of companies that come together to take contracts by using the power of their network to gain business, spread the cost and, hopefully, take whole groups of companies out of recession.
NDI has also been delivering more commercial work or interventions allowing it to become less dependent on Regional Development Agencies, and also allowing us to refocus our energies away from regional economies to a more national viewpoint.
