Lieutenant General Dick Applegate, a former Ministry of Defence Chief of Materiel (Land) and Quartermaster-General to the Forces, who also gave the after dinner speech to the 250 conference delegates, presented the NDI Company of the Year Award 2010 to P.P. Plasma Managing Director, Pete McCabe.
Commenting on P.P. Plasma’s award, Pete McCabe said, ‘Winning the NDI Company of the Year award recognised in front of some of the industry’s finest the effort of making P.P. Plasma the successful company it is today.’
Announcing the award NDI Managing Director, Robin Fox, said ‘P.P. Plasma has achieved levels of performance in all aspects of its operations that are class leading and we are very proud to count them as a member of NDI. Investing through their own resources in the very best technology, to maintain their efficiency and market differentiation, their organic growth curve in the last five years has been very dramatic.’
NDI is a business development company founded to support SMEs and to promote their capability as suppliers to the global defence, homeland security and aerospace industry. To achieve that objective it has established long-term partnerships and operational relationships with some of the biggest companies in the world and with the Ministry of Defence.
Speaking after the conference, Robin Fox added, ‘The response from those attending the conference this year has been extremely positive. Events such as the NDI Annual Conference help bring together global defence contractors and suppliers, like member companies such as P.P. Plasma, which continues to help generate business and secure jobs for SMEs. This is especially important at this time as the country struggles to pull free from recession.’
